Guys, I just finished the final episode of Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian (which had been among my favorites from the summer 2024 anime lineup), and I have BIG NEWS! Apparently, I wasn’t the only one obsessed with this adorable show, because they just announced a season 2 is already in the works!
Seriously, how cute is this whole misunderstanding with Alya speaking Russian and Kuze pretending not to understand? Their dynamic cracks me up every time. And can we talk about Alya’s tsundere act? Girl, we see right through you!

Plus, the author, SunSunSun, left the most heartwarming message thanking the fans and teasing some summer vacation shenanigans for the next season! ️ Can you imagine Alya and the gang in lighter clothes, soaking up the sun? I can’t wait!
We don’t have a release date yet, but trust me, I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for any updates. So, mark your calendars, fellow Alya fans, because things are about to get even sweeter (and maybe a little steamier?) next season!
