Wang Ling, Sun Rong, Guo Hao, Chen Chao, and the rest of the gang are coming back in The Daily Life of the Immortal King Season 4 as the sequel for the currently airing 3rd season of the donghua had been officially announced during the annual Bilibili conference that took place last October 29, 2022.
For sure many fans must have been delighted especially since they don’t need to experience the dilemma of wondering whether the donghua is getting a new season or not upon the finale of The Daily Life of the Immortal King Season 3 on December 11.
The Daily Life of the Immortal King Season 4 Announcement
The series had been one of the almost 50 titles that Bilibili has unveiled during their annual event and it’s been one of the most popular and biggest series in the list alongside some of the highly anticipated donghua such as Link Click Season 2, Rakshasa Street Season 3, and Fog Hill of Five Elements Chapter 2.
The donghua is adapted from a Chinese web novel by author Ku Xuan and follows the daily life of Wang Ling, a cultivator gifted with great powers that are far beyond his control. As he proceeds to start his new journey as a high school student where he plans to live a low-key life, things will not go as he wishes because various challenges will come after him one after another.
Synopsis
At the age of six, he killed the Demon King Swallow Sky Clam. As an omnipotent cultivation wizard, Wang Ling had to hide his power and survive among a group of ordinary cultivation students. This young man doesn’t care about the money, magic, magic weapon, or reputation that ordinary people pursue. Regardless of the love of rich daughter Sun Rong, the sniper of the top killer of the shadowed stream, and the uninterrupted conversation of his parents, they cannot stop him from pursuing the crisp noodles.

The novel was adapted into a donghua in 2020 and was released as part of the Bilibili Chinese anime lineup that year. Since then, it has become one of the most anticipated and popular donghua, especially for non-Chinese viewers.
Animation Studio and Release Date
Haoliners Animation League handled the donghua adaptation for its 1st season together with Studio LAN (also the team behind Link Click and To Be Hero). PB Animation took over the production for the 2nd and 3rd seasons of the donghua with Bilibili. Now, Liyu Culture is joining the production team of The Daily Life of the Immortal King Season 4. Liyu Culture is also handling the production of the other upcoming series from Bilibili such as Qia Tongxue Shaonian, and Ta Bu Dang Nüzhu Hen Duonian.
As per the latest announcement, The Daily Life of the Immortal King Season 4 had been scheduled for release on December 17, 2023 on Bilibili. The announcement came with a new poster (shown above), and a new promotional video. Albeit, the series was further announced and confirmed during the annual event of Bilibili this year which took last last September 26.
Trailers & PVs
During the event, we had been given a chance to take a first look at The Daily Life of the Immortal King Season 4 through its first-ever promotional video, a trailer that features Wang Ling, Zhou Yi, Ku Xuan (a character inspired by the Ku Xuan, the author of The Daily Life of the Immortal King novel). As Wang Ling seems to get a power upgrade and became even more powerful than ever as he produced a ray of light from his fingers that will remind you of the Spirit Gun (Rei Gan), the signature technique of Yusuke Urameshi from YuYu Hakusho.
I think this scene is just an indication of the fact that Ku Xuan is now actively participating in the production as he had been assigned as the director for The Daily Life of the Immortal King Season 4. After all, the PV is titled as the man behind the scenes is finally here.
