Hey everyone, fellow King’s Avatar (Quan Zhi Gao Shou) fanatic here! Buckle up, because I have incredible news that’s going to blow the roof off! Get ready to dust off your keyboards and prep for Ye Xiu’s epic return – Season 3 officially starts airing tomorrow, May 31st, 2024!
Who remembers the agonizing wait after Season 2’s epic cliffhanger? We spent months with minimal updates, clinging to any hint Tencent might drop. The official Weibo page kept us hyped with events around Ye Xiu’s birthday in May, but a concrete release date felt like a distant dream.
Well, the wait is finally over! Season 3 will delve into the Challengers League Arc from the novel. We’ll see Ye Xiu and his ragtag team, Team Happy, fight their way through the ranks to enter the coveted Glory Professional Alliance. Their biggest obstacle? None other than Ye Xiu’s former team, the recently relegated Excellent Era. Prepare for some serious emotional clashes and epic battles!
But wait, there’s more! This season promises to be a rollercoaster. We’ll finally see Su Mucheng unleash her badassery (I can’t wait!), and meet some fantastic new characters, including my personal favorite from the novel, Wu Chen.
Alright, enough spoilers! Let’s get down to business.
This post will be your one-stop shop for all things King’s Avatar Season 3. I’ll be constantly updating it with the latest news, including trailers, character PVs, and official visuals, straight from the production committee.
A Trip Down Memory Lane: The King’s Avatar’s Rise to Glory
Remember the awe-inspiring conclusion of Season 2 back in December 2020? If you need a refresher on Ye Xiu’s epic journey to rebuild his team, check out my review: “The King’s Avatar Season 2: The Preparation to War.” It was truly inspiring to witness his relentless pursuit of talent and his unwavering determination to return to the top.
Season 2’s finale heavily hinted at a continuation, and fans like me were practically begging for confirmation. Then came Tencent Video Animation’s annual conference in August 2021. That’s where the magic happened – The King’s Avatar Season 3 was officially announced! It joined a lineup of other highly anticipated sequels, including “A Will Eternal Season 2” and “Battle Through The Heavens Season 5.”
The King’s Avatar: A Donghua Powerhouse
The King’s Avatar is a shining star in the ever-growing world of donghua (Chinese animation). It paved the way for Chinese animation’s global recognition back in 2017 and 2018. The story follows Ye Xiu, a legendary esports player who, despite facing adversity, pushes his limits to reclaim his glory in the online game “Glory.”
Here’s a quick recap for anyone new to the series (welcome!):
Our protagonist, Ye Xiu, is a top-tier player in the online game “Glory,” revered as the “Battle God” for his skills and contributions. However, a forced retirement from his team leaves him disillusioned. Undeterred, he takes a job at an internet cafe and dives back into the game with a new character named “Lord Grim.”
Despite his immense experience, starting fresh in a game that’s evolved significantly presents a unique challenge. But with his knowledge and a newfound team of talented comrades by his side, Ye Xiu embarks on a thrilling journey to conquer the summit of Glory once again.
A Glimpse into The King’s Avatar Season 3: The Creative Team and Release Date
The animation studio behind Season 3 is none other than Colored Pencil Animation & Design. They previously brought us The King’s Avatar Specials (2018), Season 2 (2020), and even the prequel movie, “The King’s Avatar: For the Glory” (2019).
Thanks to a recent announcement by Mundo Donghua, we now know that Season 3 will be split into two cours (parts) with 9 episodes each. In the latest announcement on May 30, 2024, a day after Ye Xiu’s birthday, it was announced that The King’s Avatar Season 3 release is scheduled on May 31, the next morning. Now, isn’t that exciting a huge surprise.
The King’s Avatar Season 3 Trailer: A Glimpse of Epic Battles
