A teaser trailer for Sword Art Online: Alicization anime had been released on the franchise’ official website. People who are following the most hyped light-novel based anime of the decade were eagerly waiting for this news as Sword Art Online is returning this year for its third season after the successful released of Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale movie last year.
Sword Art Online anime series were based from Reki Kawahara’s light novel series with the same title and it was first adapted into an anime way back in 2012 followed by a second season in 2014. Now, after 3 years in hiatus, Kirito and Asuna is back for the show’s third season adapted the Alicization Arc of the light novel following the story from the Ordinal Scale’s denouement.
The first promotional video for the Sword Art Online season 3 reveals the anime’s staff as well as its premiere date. In addition, a new visual for the anime had been revealed and it couldn’t be more exciting and delightful than it already is.

Among the staff for the anime are Manabu Ono who will direct the show at A-1 Pictures, Gou Suzuki and Tomoya Nishiguchi who previously worked as the animation directors for Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scaled will provide the character designs together with Shingo Adachi.
Returning as the voice actors for Kirito and Asua are Yoshitsugu Matsuoka and Haruka Tomatsu respectively. They’ll be join by Ai Kayano as Alice and Nobunaga Shimazaki as Eugeo.
Sword Art Online: Alicization is scheduled to premiere on October 2018.
